Who can perform?
Any dancer at any level (student to professional.) We love ‘firsts’ so if it is your first time performing or trying something new get in contact
You don’t need to audition just email Natalie with the show date and she will reserve you a dance slot
I don’t know Natalie. That’s fine message me to perform and let’s meet at the show!
Any dance style, if you are not a bellydancer you are still welcome for a guest dance spot.
What happens after I book in?
Once you have received a reply confirming your dance slot you won’t hear from us again until 1 week before the show
At that point we contact all performers to ask you to email us your mp3 music track and if possible a few sentences to introduce you.
We then chase up anyone we’ve not heard from the Wednesday before the show
Running orders are sent out on the Thursday/Friday before the show
Special requests
if you need a prop set up on stage or any other special request for the night please
inform Natalie when sending through your music we will try and accommodate any idea
Special celebrations such as birthdays etc. let us know so we can mention and celebrate
If you have your own upcoming events let me know so I can announce to the audience
If you need to be early or late on in running order or need time for costumes changes let me know
I booked a dance slot but need to cancel?
Life happens. If you can no longer perform please message Natalie to let her know. Your dance slot can be given to someone else and you can rebook to perform at another show when you are ready.
Do I need a ticket?
Entry to the show is £12 per person for dancers and audience to cover our running costs for a regular event please buy your ticket through the website
Group performances still require each individual to buy a ticket for entry
If you are having trouble buying through the website we can take cash payment only on the door
If you are struggling financially please contact Natalie for a free ‘pay it forward’ entry to promote social inclusion in hard times
What time do I get to the venue on the night?
Dancers can arrive to the venue from 7pm to get ready for show start 7.30pm
Running order timings are subject to change and should not be relied on
If you are running late please message 07974697676 and we can move you in the running order
Natalie will be running around checking and setting up at the start of event but will find you on arrival
We have a backstage area to leave your belongings and to get changed
Dance space
we are usually in the Celebration Hall (depending on building works in 2025 we may be moved into the large hall)
The dance space is carpeted with a step up from the audience
Front facing to audience
No naked flames are allowed in our venue so no fire performances permitted
Photography and video
You can take your own photos and videos at the show
We are unable to video full performances at present so please arrange with a friend to capture your dance
Natalie takes small video clips from the side of stage area for promotional purposes but is unable to film a full performance due to organiser admin
When available we book photographer Malik to take amazing photos of the show. Dancers will get their photos for free with a download link during the week after the show and can use images for their own purposes without permissions. Some flash lighting is used please inform us if an issue.
Items to sell
If you have items to sell, pre-loved dance costumes etc. or dance related items to rehome for free you can bring these to the show to sell or give away during the interval. You can post a pic in the rose Hafla Facebook group to let people know what you will be bringing
